Install Windows 7 from USB Stick on Asus Eee PC

These are the steps to follow:

1. Format 4GB USB Stick with NTFS in Win XP:
   • Device Manager: Disk drives: USB Stick: Properties: Check "Optimize for performance"
   • Right-click on USB Stick in Explorer: Format with NTFS
   • Afterwards, restore USB Stick properties
2. Boot Windows XP in VMWare, use Windows7.iso as DVDROM
3. Mount USB Stick in VMWare, copy all files from Windows7 DVD onto USB Stick
4. Shutdown VMWare
5. copy G:\boot\bootsect.exe from USB Stick (G:) onto the Desktop
6. Make sure USB Stick (e.g. G:) is not active, copy boot manager onto USB Stick:
   bootsect.exe /nt60 G:
7. On Eee PC, click F2 during boot to enter BIOS
8. Disable Quick Boot and Quiet Boot
9. Click F10 to store settings, upon reboot click ESC to enter boot menu
10. Select USB Stick to boot from USB
